The speaker is Fr. Salvador “Buddy” Agualada, CMF.  He is a professor, theologian, and an author.  His latest book is entitled: Pedro Calungsod, Patron of the Filipino Youth,” which is related to the theme of our recollection “San Pedro Calungsod in the Advent Season of the Year of Faith.”

**The Health Program Ministry of the Parish will conduct a free clinic day on Sunday, November 18, 2012, at the SINAG Community Center in Balara Filters.  Registration starts at 7:30 AM and consultations follow immediately until 12:00 NN.

This service is made possible through the kindness of our benefactors, and the doctors who have offered their services at no cost.

**Today, being our Parish Stewardship Sunday, the following is an update on the Balik-Alay Program: the total amount of Balik-Alay offerings for Stewardship of Treasure for the month of September 2012 is P90,080.00.  Last August 2012, Balik-Alay offerings for Stewardship of Treasure amounted to P 190,041.00.  For Stewardship of Time, we have 8 new Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion.

We praise and thank the good Lord for your generosity.

The parish always welcomes generous response of new offerors to its Balik-Alay Stewardship Program.  We hope that you will respond to the invitation to live the spirituality of stewardship  through the active participation in this program.  Please see the parish office for inquiries.

Today is World Mission Sunday with the theme “Called to Radiate the Word of Truth.”  Instead of having a special collection for this, “nakikiusap  po kami kung maaaring dagdagan nyo na lamang po ang inyong love offering sa ating misa ngayon” because we will give 20% of our total mass collection today to the Pontifical Mission Societies which will then be forwarded to Rome.  This will serve as our contribution to the Solidarity Fund of the Pontifical Society for the Propagation of Faith.

PARISH ANNOUNCEMENT ON THE LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

To be announced five minutes before the start of the Mass

Brothers and sisters,

this month we begin using the new translations of responses and acclamations in the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

Please refer to the Bukal supplements the parish is distributing or the Responses Guide.

When the priest says: Pray brethren that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God the almighty Father

We now answer: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

When the priest says: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God,

We answer: It is right and just.

We also begin using the new Sanctus.  Let us practice reciting it:

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord God of hosts.

Heaven and earth are full of your glory.

Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

Hosanna in the highest.

We also begin using the new memorial acclamations.  For this month we will be using:

We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess  your Resurrection until you come again.

Next month, November, we will use:

When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup, we proclaim your Death, O Lord, until you come again.

And December, we will use:

Save us, Savior of the world, for by your Cross and Resurrection you have set us free.
