** February 22, Ash Wednesday, is the start of the Lenten Season. Our schedule of masses on that day will be at 6:00 AM, 12:00 Noon, 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Imposition of ashes will be done in all masses during that day.
In this regard, we would like to seek your help by way of donating your old palms. Please send in your palms to the Parish Office for burning into ashes no later than February 19.

**Please take note of the schedule of masses in our parish for the Christmas Season:
Ongoing SIMBANG GABI at 8:00 PM until December 23 and at 4:30 AM until December 24. The 4:30 AM simbang gabi replaces the 6:00 am mass.
Our CHRISTMAS EVE MASS on December 24 and our NEW YEAR’s EVE Mass on December 31 are both at 9:00 PM.
On December 25 and January 01, we will follow our Sunday schedule of masses except that we will have NO 6:00 AM mass on these dates.
Finally, kindly be informed that on Saturday, December 24 and December 31, there will be NO 6:00 PM anticipated mass in our parish.
**Alay Pamisa Para sa Simbang Gabi (Our Christmas Offering to Baby Jesus) envelopes are made available in order to give you the opportunity to offer masses (thanksgiving, special intentions or for the souls of our departed loved ones) during the Simbang Gabi. Kindly write your mass intentions on the envelope and drop in drop boxes located at the entrances of the church or bring to the Parish Office.

**Everyone is encouraged to be best prepared for the birth of our Lord by seeking the Sacrament of Reconciliation during this time of Advent. To this end, we will be having a Kumpisalang Bayan today, December 10, after the 6:00 PM mass. We hope that you would take advantage of this opportunity to be reconciled with the Lord. Thank you very much.
**Please take note of the schedule of masses in our parish for the Christmas Season:
For the Simbang Gabi, we will have an evening mass from December 15 to 23 at 8:00 PM and a dawn mass from December 16-24 at 4:30 AM.

**As part of our celebration of the Solemnity of Christ the King, our parish will be having a procession this afternoon after the 5:30 mass that will go around Pansol and Ibanag St. in La Vista.

The Parish Formation Ministry invites everyone to our Parish’s Advent Recollection with the theme “Advent: Sustaining the Best of Our Hope in the World Today.” Our speaker will be Fr. Mike Lambino of the Society of Jesus. It will be held at the St. Paul Hall of the Fr. Pat H. Lim Landas Center of the Parish at 7:30 PM.

**Caritas Manila invites you to buy products made by urban poor partners and inmates of the National Bilibid Prison. These products are available at the parish grounds today and next Sunday.
Buying their products will enable you to help the inmates and their families, as well as their urban poor partners, and be able to send youths to school.
**As part of our celebration of the Solemnity of Christ the King, our parish will be participating in a procession on Saturday, Nov. 19, organized by the Vicariate of St. Joseph. The procession will begin from the Parish of the Holy Sacrifice in UP and will end in our parish, Sta. Maria della Strada.
Likewise, on Sunday (Nov. 20), our parish will also have its own procession that will go around Pansol and Ibanag St. in La Vista after the 5:30 PM mass.

**The Parish Health Program Ministry will conduct a free clinic day on Sunday, November 06. Registration starts at 7:30 AM and consultations follow immediately until 12:00 Noon.
This service is a part of the SMDS Parish Pro-Poor Program under the Social Development and Services Ministry. This program is also made possible through the support of the SMDS Balik- Alay Program and through the kindness of our benefactors, and the doctors who have offered their time and talent as an offering of thanksgiving for the greater glory of God.
Let us continue to support this noble program to be able to reach out to more of our less fortunate brothers and sisters in our Parish and be a part of Jesus’ mission to care for the poor.

Kindly list down the names of your deceased relatives and friends on the envelopes that we’ve distributed if you wish to have them remembered and enclose your offering therein. Please drop your envelopes in drop boxes along the entrances of the church or bring them to the parish office on or before October 30.
**Everyone is invited to visit Radio Veritas’ “MARIAN & SAINTS”: an exhibit of miracles and healing grace. It will showcase various life-sized miraculous images of our Blessed Virgin Mary and relics of our Beloved John Paul II. It will be held at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City, from Nov. 7-29, 2011.

**On Saturday, October 29, the Diocese of Cubao, in cooperation with the Smart Araneta Center, will be staging a grand celebration of faith to commemorate the life and teachings of the newly beatified John Paul II.
“BLESSED” will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum from 1 PM to 6 PM. It will be an inspiring afternoon showing the facets of the Pope we loved, how the uniqueness of his personality radiated the face of God, and profoundly touched the Filipinos. There will be a relic exhibit, film showing, inspirational speakers, and testimonials, prayer rally, mini concert and a Eucharistic celebration in honor of the new Blessed. It will also be the time that the Filipino Catholic faithful of the Diocese of Cubao will celebrate the first ever feastday of the Blessed John Paul II.
Our Diocese is inviting all parishes, schools, clergy, religious congregations, and mandated organizations from all dioceses to come and take part in this celebration of the new “Blessed.”

**The Sta. Maria della Strada Parish Youth Ministry is inviting young parishioners, aged 15-18 years old, to join the 4th run of the Jesus and Me (JAM) Youth Leaders’ Camp 4 this coming Friday until Sunday, Oct. 28-30. The goal of this camp is to gather and mold young leaders to serve the youth of the parish community. Announcement (Right before Communion)

Today is World Mission Sunday. The Pontifical Mission Societies collect offerings for this intention to help provide economic assistance to the universal church especially in the mission societies. It is used for evangelization and for ecclesial and social developments, as well as education and material assistance.
In line with this, we will have a second collection after communion. Amount collected will be remitted to the Treasury Office of the Diocese. Thank you!
