Kindly  be  advised  about the resumption of the practice of saying the Novena to our Patroness, Sta. Maria della Strada, every Saturday before the 6:00 PM Mass, starting this coming July. Kindly take note that the Novena starts at 5:30 PM.

Lord, every time I open my hands,

I look heavenward to receive Your blessings.

I believe everything is a gift from Your overflowing love.

Undeserving as I may be, You have built my identity.

You have fashioned me as Your child

And given me dignity of sharing in Your life.

Help me to open my hands to let go and trust

For You run my affairs more than I do.

You admonish me to cast away my doubts and anxieties

And to live in harmony and peace.

Like a good steward, help me to be thankful in gratitude

To count more my blessings and less of my adversities.

Let me open my hands so that I can love and share my gifts.

Help me to understand that in a Christian love

I have the need to give more than giving to a need.

As I realize that I live on borrowed time and life

I wish to return the best portions of these blessings received

For the good of my Church to glorify Your name.

May I be blessed as a good servant, now that I offer

and return my gifts to You.

PROGRESS REPORT FOR THE MONTH OF MAY, 2010

Today, being our Parish’s Stewardship Sunday, the following is the update on the Balik-Alay Program:

Announcements June 19-20, 2010

The SMDS Divine Mercy Healing Ministry would like to invite you to a Mass and Healing Rites to be officiated by FR. EFREN “MOMOY” BORROMEO, a healing priest, on TUESDAY, June 22, 2010, 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the SMDS Parish Church.

The Healing Ministry Group would like to extend this healing service opportunity to all SMDS parishioners who are physically, emotionally and spiritually in need.

Announcements June 06, 2010

The Episcopal Commission on Clergy recommends that the closure of the Year for Priests takes place at diocesan and parish levels on June 11-13, 2010.  These dates correspond also to the closing of the Year of the Two Hearts.  In view of this, we will have the following activities in the parish, namely:

June 11 (Friday) – Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Solemn Mass, a night-long Eucharistic Vigil and Adoration in the main church, simultaneous with Kumpisalan ng Bayan.  The novena masses are on-going every 6pm in preparation for the coming feast.

June 12 (Saturday) – culminating morning mass in honor of the Immaculate Heart of  Mary , together with flower offering.

June 13 (Sunday) – the highlight celebration of the Two Hearts will be during the 7 pm mass on Sunday.

2. The Feast of Corpus Christi celebrates the possibility of salvation through the sacrifice of Christ at the Crucifixion made available     to     all     through communion in the Christian

Mass.  This afternoon, at 6:30, we   invite everyone to participate in the procession around   Balara Filters, Pansol  and La Vista.
