Della Strada Parish Semana Santa Activities

Kindly take note of the parish’s Semana Santa activities:

Parish Pabasa ng Pasyon  from 3 PM of HOLY MONDAY (March 29) until 3 PM of HOLY TUESDAY (March 30)

On HOLY THURSDAY, April 01, we will have the Chrism Mass & Renewal of Vows of the Clergy (Diocese of Cubao) at the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, Lantana, Cubao at 7:00 AM,  Mass of the Lord’s Supper at 5:00 PM and the Reposition and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament right  after the mass until 12 midnight.

A Grand Stations of the Cross Procession  at 6:30 AM,  Commemoration of the Lord’s Passion at 4:00 PM , and a Procession of the Holy Images at 6:00 PM on GOOD FRIDAY, April 02.

On BLACK SATURDAY, April 03, we will have the Viewing of the Sto. Entierro inside the church from 8:00 AM up to 4:00 PM, an Easter Vigil at 9:00 PM, and a Salubong Procession at 12:00 midnight.

On Easter Sunday, we will have the regular Sunday mass schedule except for the 6:00 AM mass.

Please be informed that the schedule of the aforementioned activities is posted on our parish bulletin board and in our parish website, http://www.dellastradaparish.com

The parish is looking for volunteers to help pull the carozzas during the procession of the holy images on Good Friday. Those interested may sign up at the parish office.

Holy Week Announcements

We encourage everyone, especially our parishioners, to go to confession after the mass.  We will be having the Kumpisalang Bayan, as part of our lenten activities, tonight at 7:15.

*   PALM SUNDAY tomorrow with a procession that starts at Pansol Plaza at 6:45 AM.  Kindly take note that the          blessing of palms will only be done within the mass.

Announcement March 13-14, 2010

We invite everyone to join the Stations of the Cross in our church right after the 6:00 pm mass every Friday of lent.

Christ sacrificed himself for the redemption of mankind.  During this lenten season, we are inviting our parishioners to make a sacrifice for the benefit of the poor.  One way of meeting the challenge is to minimize your softdrink, eating of meat, going to the movies or gimmick on a weekend.  Whatever amount you will save from your voluntary abstinence, put it inside the lenten and easter offering envelope that the parish is distributing.  You may drop your offering in drop boxes placed at the church entrances or You can make your offering either during the mass on Holy Thursday evening which is the anniversary of the institution of the holy eucharist or during the Easter Vigil mass which is the culmination of our lenten and holy week activities. Our offering from this lenten and easter envelope will be used exclusively to give medical assistance to our less fortunate brothers and sisters, especially the children.  This way, our sacrifice becomes an offering of love to others.

We enjoin you to attend the Lenten Recollection (The Passion, Death and Resurrection of Jesus as Lived Today) in our church on March 23 and 24, Tuesday & Wednesday, at 7:30 PM.  Our speaker will be Bishop Teodoro Bacani, DD.
