Dear Rev. Monsignori, Fathers, Brothers and Sisters:
The Love and Peace of Jesus the High Priest!
Our 6th Year Anniversary as a Diocese is fast approaching and in our last Board of Consultors Meeting, August 6, 2009, we agreed as it was discussed last year (in the Board of Consultors Meeting) that we will only highlight every five years anniversary. The other anniversaries will be observed in the parish level. Enclosed is a prayer that can be used as Post Communion Prayer. We offer our praise and thanksgiving to the Lord as we celebrate our 6th anniversary as a diocese.
We thank God for the success we have achieved the past five and a half years to live our commitment to our Pastoral Agenda with Nine Priorities. We ask for the grace that we will have a renewed and a deeper commitment to our Pastoral Program with our Five Point Priority Agenda for the Year 2009-2011.
As we observe the Year of the Priests, we continue to pray for their sanctification and renewal. We also pray for more vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
We remember the words of St. John Mary Vianney: “The Priesthood is the love of the Sacred Heart of Jesus!”
The Lord bless, guide and keep you! May He let His face shine on you and be gracious to you.

PRAYER FOR THE SIXTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DIOCESE OF CUBAO ON THE OCCASION OF THE YEAR FOR PRIESTS
Most Loving Father,
you are the eternal shepherd
who never leaves his flock untended.
From the beginning of time,
you have always sent shepherds
to watch over your flock.
In this Year for Priests,
we pray for all the shepherds you sent
to take care of the diocese.
We pray for our bishop,
that, as the chief shepherd of the local Church,
he may teach us with his words
and inspire us with his examples.
We pray for all priests,
that, as co-workers of the bishop,
they may be faithful to their priestly duties
and lovingly guide the people entrusted to them.
We pray for all of us,
that, as partners in the mission of the Church,
we may offer ourselves to contribute meaningfully
to the building up of God’s kingdom among us.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, Your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

Ikaw and pastol na laging pumapatnubay sa iyong kawan.

na mangangalaga sa iyong bayan.
Sa pagdiriwang ng Taon ng mga Pari,
idinadalangin namin ang lahat ng mga pastol
na isinugo mo upang mangalaga sa diyosesis ng Cubao.
Idinadalangin namin ang aming mahal na Obispo,
bilang punong pastol ng sambayanan,

Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar
The Divine Mercy Healing Ministry cordially invites you to join its Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar that will be held at the Social Hall of the Fr. Pat Lim Landas Center on Saturday up to Sunday, August 29-30, 2009, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. The speakers are from CALAPP (Catholic Lay Preachers of the Philippines).

Ang Divine Mercy Healing Ministry ay malugod po kayong inaanyayahan sa kanilang Catholic Life in the Spirit Seminar na gaganapin sa Social Hall ng Fr. 1.The Knights of Columbus is celebrating the worldwide Family Week that started last August 09 until tomorrow. To culminate the celebration, there will be an open house exhibit tomorrow from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the SMDS Parish. Please visit the exhibit to learn more about the Knights of Columbus and how to take part in their endeavors in the church and community.
2. The Divine Mercy Healing Ministry of Sta. Maria della Strada Parish would like to invite you to a community mass for Divine Mercy Apostolate on Friday, August 21, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm. There will be preparatory prayers and novena from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. This will be held here in our church.

1. Ang Knights of Columbus ay nagdiriwang ng pandaigdigang Family Week na nagsimula nung ika-siyam ng Agosto hanggang sa araw na ito. Inaanyayahan ang lahat na pumunta ngayon sa exhibit upang makilalang lalo ang Knights of Columbus at malaman kung paano makalalahok sa kanilang mga gawain sa simbahan at sa ating pamayanan.
2. Ang Divine Mercy Healing Ministry ng ating Parokya, Sta. Maria della Strada, ay malugod po kayong inaanyayahan na dumalo sa misa ng Divine Mercy Apostolate. Ito ay gaganapin sa ika-21 ng Agosto, 2009, araw ng Biyernes mula ika-anim ng hapon hanggang ika-pito ng gabi dito sa ating simbahan. Magkakaroon din ng preparatory prayers at nobena mula ika-apat at kalahati ng hapon hanggang ika-anim ng hapon.

St. John Mary Vianney Sunday
As we celebrate the St. John Mary Vianney Sunday, the Commission on Clergy is appealing for the Second Sunday Collection from all the parishes in order to support the programs for the renewal of priests in their centre named after John Mary Vianney – Galilee Centre. This is one concrete way that our people may truly appreciate the ministry of the priests by sharing/contributing to the ongoing formation/renewal of their priests. May we request for your kind support to this Second Sunday Collection Fund raising for the ministry of the Commission on Clergy that will be done right after communion.
Assessing first semester of 2009
Last July 27,2009 the heads of the Parish Ministries and Councils together with Fr. Manny Sarez discussed and assessed the areas of strength and areas for improvement of each ministry and council based on the achievements last semester. Actionable next steps were likewise mapped out for the next semester. The results of the discussions are documented in the attached files.

Christian Life Program
1. The Couples for Christ of Sta. Maria della Strada Parish is inviting couples to our on-going Christian Life Program. Experience community living with a mission.
